Defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, aka Pot Roast, was released by the New England Patriots. The eight-year veteran has a reputation as one of the league’s better run stuffers and was a fixture on Denver’s AFC championship team in 2013. He had signed a one-year free-agent deal with the Patriots in early April.
“It just didn’t work out,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick told reporters Monday.
