There’s plenty to go over from a strong 21-14 victory over the Lions on Sunday, so without any further ado, let’s get to this edition of five takeaways.
1) Gurley breaks loose
If there were a rookie wall, running back Todd Gurley crashed right through it with his Sunday performance. Gurley’s numbers had been down for much of the Rams’ five-game skid, but the Georgia product was back in full force against Detroit.
Gurley’s 16 rush attempts netted 140 yards with two touchdowns, and 127 of those yards came in the second half.
