The Rams suffered a rough 24-10 loss to Washington in their first road contest of the year. Here are five takeaways from the matchup.
1) Run defense must improve
While the Rams did a decent job of containing Seattle’s ground attack in Week 1, the success did not carry over to Week 2. Washington ran for 182 yards on 37 carries -- a 4.9-yard average. The home team had three rushes of 20-plus yards, gashing the St. Louis defense.
“We emphasized it all week -- stopping the run,” defensive end Chris Long said.
