1) Gurley, run game click
It had been tough sledding for the Rams ground game for a few weeks, but that changed in the final two quarters of Sunday’s game. Running back Todd Gurley displayed why he was the No. 10 overall pick in this year’s draft, rushing for 144 yards in the second half alone against the Cardinals.
Gurley hit a number of marks in his second game with 146 total yards rushing. He became the first back to have four rushes of 20-plus yards in a game this season. He had the fourth-highest rushing total of any back in a game this year, and the most by a rookie.
