The Rams got a lot of help from Tampa Bay a week ago, particularly when it came to late-game clock management, in pulling off a 37-32 victory. But there was nothing fluky about Sunday's 17-13 triumph in Arizona.
It was the essence of Fisher-Ball. Swarming defense. Keep the score down, the game close, and figure out a way to win in the fourth quarter. Fisher's teams displayed that brand of football on occasion in St. Louis, but not nearly often enough to have anything resembling a meaningful season.
But after their second consecutive victory in Arizona, the 3-1 Rams are off to their best start since Scott Linehan's first Rams team started 4-1 in 2006.
