INDIANAPOLIS • When last seen in an NFL regular-season game, quarterback Nick Foles was fighting the rough-and-tumble Arizona defense at the Edward Jones Dome — a fight Foles and the rest of the St. Louis Rams lost 27-3 last Dec. 6.
With Case Keenum sidelined for the second week in a row because of a concussion, Foles completed only 13 of 35 passes for 146 yards. His passer rating of 43.3 was the fourth-lowest of his career.
Coach Jeff Fisher fired offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti the next day, and basically fired Foles for the rest of the season.
