Safety Eric Weddle, who spent nine seasons with the San Diego Chargers, three with the Baltimore Ravens, and one with the LA Rams, has announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday. He was kind enough to remind everyone of his career accomplishments as well.
Weddle was a two-time All-Pro free safety with the Chargers (2011, 2014) before his somewhat surprising release in 2016. Weddle signed with the Ravens, making the Pro Bowl in all three campaigns there, including 10 interceptions over the first two seasons.
He made the Rams his third career home in 2019, starting 16 games and recording 108 tackles, but he did not record a pick in either of his final two seasons.
