Engineering and physics professors weigh in on Brady appeal (The Associated Press)

NEW YORK (AP) -- Numerous engineering and physics professors have weighed in with a federal appeals court being asked to review New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's four-game suspension for ''Deflategate.''

Papers filed Tuesday with the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York said these experts believe the 2nd Circuit's ruling upholding the suspension lacks any scientific proof.

Lawyers for Brady and the NFL Players Association asked the appeals court to reconsider a ruling by a three-judge panel that found the NFL acted properly in suspending Brady last year. The suspension had been rejected by a lower court judge last September, but the 2nd Circuit panel reversed that ruling.
