When it comes to play-calling in the NFL, Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay is one of the best. However, despite being arguably a top-3 play-caller along with Andy Reid and Kyle Shanahan, McVay still takes his fair share of criticism.
Criticism is good as it results in growth, but at the same time, no play-caller is perfect and mistakes are going to be made. The 33rd Team’s Derrick Klassen ranked McVay as the second-best play-caller in the NFL heading into 2024. Said Klassen,
“There’s a good argument McVay is the most influential mind in the modern NFL besides Kyle Shanahan.
