The Los Angeles Rams defense suffered a major loss in the offseason when their future first-ballot Hall of Fame DT Aaron Donald retired after a 10-year career with the team. Donald burst on the scene in 2014 as a first-round pick of the then St. Louis Rams. He would go on to win Defensive Rookie of the Year that season, and continue on his stellar career to earn three Defensive MVPs, eight First-Team All-Pros, 10 Pro Bowls and a Super Bowl LVI championship.
While LA’s young revamped defense took some positive steps in 2023, playing well above expectations, the departure of Donald as the mainstay of the Rams defense has to be one of the bigger losses any team has faced in recent memory.
