Chase Daniel never could beat Sam Bradford in college, but he makes no bones about the fact that he'll try to beat out Bradford for the starting quarterback job in Philadelphia.
"Well, obviously we could never beat him when he was at Oklahoma and we were at Missouri," Daniel said at his introductory press conference Thursday in Philadelphia. "So he has my number on that."
In 2007 and 2008, the two years their college careers overlapped as starters, Daniel's Tigers went 0-3 against Bradford's Sooners, including two losses in the Big 12 Conference championship game.
Daniel was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2007, and left Mizzou as the school's career record-holder in passing yards, touchdown passes, completion percentage, and total offense.
