Rams receiver Cooper Kupp was named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September, following a three-game stretch to begin the season in which he has caught 25 passes for 367 yards and five touchdowns. Kupp is the fourth receiver in franchise history to win the award, fittingly following in the footsteps of Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce, and Henry Ellard. Each of them won the award once in their careers.
Kupp still has three more months left in 2021 and the 28-year-old only just got started with quarterback Matthew Stafford.
And it is somewhat surprising that Stafford wasn’t the player who won the honor, given that LA’s new quarterback was twice named as the NFC Offensive Player of the Week already.
