Coach Chuck Cecil, the senior defensive assistant of the St. Louis Rams, has been a staple in the NFL as a player and a coach for more than 20 years. Prior to coaching, he enjoyed a seven-year playing career, starting with the Green Bay Packers who drafted him in 1988. He spent five seasons with Green Bay before signing with the Phoenix Cardinals in 1993 and concluding his career with the Houston Oilers in 1995. Throughout his time as an NFL player, Cecil was known as a punishing hitter with an aggressive style of play, and according to the former Pro Bowler, he garnered some of that toughness from his mother.
