Oh, right. The San Diego Chargers still want a new stadium.
Almost forgot after the hoopla of Relocation 2016 that the Chargers pulled the whole "We're going to stay because we really want to be in San Diego (and really, really want San Diego to kick down some money for a new stadium)" business after thinking twice about being the Los Angeles Rams' tenant in Inglewood.
The Chargers will spend the weekend getting signatures for a "citizens initiative" to get public help in getting the stadium and a new convention center built downtown (shrewd move, linking it to the convention center).
