ST. LOUIS • Events held at a new riverfront football stadium would have a $200 million annual impact on the region and a $177 million yearly impact on the state, according to a study commissioned by the St. Louis Regional Chamber and released Friday.
Construction of the $1 billion facility would create another $1.8 billion dollars in economic bang over three years, the report says.
All together, the project would produce more than 7,500 jobs, it says.
Moreover, the new stadium and its corresponding National Football League team would maintain “community brand, media exposure, quality of life and central city development,” the study says.
