LOS ANGELES -- There was perhaps no bigger rivalry throughout the 1970s than the one between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams, with one of the two teams winning the NFC West every season of that decade. The rivalry lost its appeal once the Rams moved to St. Louis for the 1995 season, and now that they're back on the West Coast, the NFL is hopeful that it will renew again.
It starts on Monday Night Football, with a 7:20 p.m. PT showdown at the 49ers' Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
