With offensive tackle depth thinned by injuries, the Los Angeles Rams have signed free agent Conner McDermott to the roster. The unit began training camp short on “true” tackles and while L.A. has a number of swing candidates, injuries to bookend starters Alaric Jackson and Rob Havenstein exacerbated the problem.
L.A. is McDermott’s fourth pro stop since being drafted out of UCLA at #211 in Round 6 of the 2017 NFL Draft. He’s mostly bounced around from practice squads to active roster over tours with the New England Patriots (two stints), Buffalo Bills, and NewYork Jets.
