NASHVILLE, TENN. • Sylvester Williams won a Super Bowl championship ring two years ago playing nose tackle for Denver, but he hasn't shown it to anyone at his new job.
"No, I don't bring it here," said Williams, who signed a free-agent deal with the Tennessee Titans during the offseason. "I'm trying to get another one. I'm trying to build something special here."
After narrowly missing the playoffs last season with a 9-7 finish, expectations are sky-high in 2017 for a Titans squad led by a young ascending quarterback in Marcus Mariota. Williams was one of several pieces added to help solidify a Tennessee team that hasn't made the playoff since 2008.
