Bulger hopes concussion awareness doesn't change core of NFL game

During his 11-year playing career in the National Football League, quarterback Marc Bulger said he was diagnosed with three concussions. He says he actually experienced about a dozen. Yes, times have changed in terms of concussion diagnosis.

Is Bulger glad that more money, time and effort are being expended on understanding concussions and trying to prevent and treat them?

Certainly.

Does a part of him wonder what his head might feel like when he's in his 50s and beyond?

Of course.

But does Bulger, 39, think fundamental changes need to be made in the way the game is played because of the concussion issue?
