The NFL dished out several fines Saturday to players who criticized the officiating in last week's slate of games.
Among those fined included Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, Los Angeles Rams linebacker Clay Matthews and Detroit Lions safety Tracy Walker, who were all docked $12,500 each.
Mayfield was was fined for comments he made about officiating after a 32-28 loss to the Seahawks last Sunday. He was asked about a blindside blocking penalty called on Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry.
"The refs are never an excuse," Mayfield answered.
