EARTH CITY, Mo. -- The Los Angeles Rams re-signed center Tim Barnes and wide receiver Brian Quick last week, coming up with short-term deals to give them another season or two with the team.
In Barnes' case, it was a deal he worked for after winning the starting job in training camp last year and holding it down throughout the season. Quick, on the other hand, battled back from a devastating shoulder injury but didn't play or produce much after returning.
That's why Barnes received a two-year deal while Quick is back on the very definition of a one-year "prove it" deal.
