EARTH CITY, Mo. -- The St. Louis stadium task force officially submitted its proposal to build a $1.1 billion NFL stadium on the city's north riverfront to the appropriate parties on Tuesday morning.
The proposal has taken on many different looks since the task force began working on it more than a year ago. But the final version is the one that the task force believes puts St. Louis' best foot forward when it comes to remaining an NFL city beyond 2015.
With that in mind, here's a look at how some of the financials and details of the plan look:
Financing
The plan calls for about $400 million in public money, which breaks down as follows:
State/RSA project bond proceeds -- $226,300,000
City project bond proceeds -- $70,400,000
Brownfield tax credits -- $41,100,000
MDFB contribution tax credits -- $47,500,000
RSA funds already spent -- $14,700,000
In addition to the public funds, the plan asks for a private investment from an NFL team of $250 million plus another $300 million in the NFL's G4 program.
