Watching Jeff Fisher celebrate a win is a rare and unsettling occurrence. It reminds me of when I used to work at a gas station, and one of the compulsive lotto players would win $100 on a $10 scratcher. The victory, while fun at the time, only convinced the compulsive lotto player that he would win again, that he would win bigger. And he might, somewhere down the line, but you knew a whole lot of money was going to be wasted between now and then. In the end, the victory only guaranteed there would be more losing.
So it goes with Fisher, whom Rams owner Stan Kroenke will probably reward with an incomprehensible contract extension now that the Rams have distanced themselves from last week's 28-0 loss at San Francisco.
