Belleville's Jackson to Titans; MU's Harris to Dolphins

Adoree’ Jackson grew up in Belleville and was a Belleville East Lancer as a high school freshman. He moved to Los Angeles prior to his sophomore season, moving in with his sister.

The idea was to attract more notice from college football recruiters. You can’t argue with the results. He starred at Southern California, earning the Thorpe Award last season as college football’s top defender.

And after turning pro a year early, Jackson got noticed Thursday night by the NFL, when the Tennessee Titans made him the No. 18 overall selection in the draft.

Not only do the Titans get a cornerback with great ball skills — he had five interceptions and 16 pass breakups last season.
