Bears Not Expecting to Franchise Alshon Jeffery is Good News For Rams

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out the offense of the Los Angeles Rams is in desperate need of help this offseason after ranking at the bottom of the league in 2016 by only averaging 14 points per game. The good news for the Rams is there will be plenty of amazing wide receivers to go after from this year’s free agency class, and thanks to the Chicago Bears, Alshon Jeffery will be available for teams to pursue.

According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the Bears aren’t expected to place the franchise tag on their beloved wide receiver for the second year in a row, which is a smart move on their end since it would have cost the team more than $17 million just for the 2017 season.
