The LA Rams freed up $7 million in cap space by re-working the contract of quarterback Jared Goff this week, according to a report by Adam Schefter:
Which was preceded by a tweet from Lindsey Thiry that the Rams had officially signed defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson and outside linebacker Leonard Floyd. The team did not have enough cap space to officially sign those players prior to Goff re-working his deal. The remaining amount of savings from Goff’s re-worked deal (probably around $6 million) is about what it should cost to sign the rookie class.
