Jehu Chesson took nothing for granted, not after his production dropped in 2016 at the University of Michigan. So when the wide receiver from Ladue High got his formal invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine, his reaction went beyond happy.
“I’m freakin’ stunned to be here,” he said last week from Indianapolis. “I’m very, very happy for this opportunity.”
It didn’t really sink in, he said, until he arrived at the airport in Indy and an NFL scout was there waiting to greet him.
“Saw the Steelers guy waiting for me, one of the scouts,” Chesson said.
