Dating back to before the 2017 season officially got it underway, Aaron Donald had been putting up a fight with the Los Angeles Rams to earn a hefty new contract, as the superstar believed, along with a lot of fans, he deserved to be the league’s highest-paid defender.
Since the former Pittsburgh star joined the NFL in 2014 after the Rams decided to use a first-round pick on the defensive tackle, Donald has been one of those players who seems to get better with experience.
Whether it happens to be the fact that he’s reached the Pro Bowl in each of his five NFL seasons or taking home Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second year in a row, Donald has made a strong case to be considered the best player at his position in the NFL.
