Just when you thought Los Angeles Rams icon Aaron Donald couldn’t add anything else to his already stellar resume, the accolades keep on coming. ESPN named Donald among the top 100 professional athletes of the 21st century since 2000.
AD came in at number 20 in the ESPN rankings and was one of only 12 NFL players to make the list. He was also one of three NFL players ranked inside the top 20 alongside Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. Rams reporter Sarah Barshop recalled Donald’s iconic play to seal Super Bowl LVI against Joe Burrow and the Bengals:
“Donald went into his eighth NFL season with many significant achievements on the field for the Rams: Defensive Rookie of the Year, three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards and seven Pro Bowls to start his career.
