In a post for his Trench Warfare substack newsletter, offensive line specialist Brandon Thorn ranked four of the L.A. Rams five starting offensive linemen in the top-12 of their respective positions. Thorn had Rob Havenstein ranked eighth among right tackles, Kevin Dotson seventh at right guard, Steve Avila 11th at center, and Jonah Jackson seventh among left guards. Dotson, Jackson, and Avila were in “tier 2” at their positions, while Havenstein was in tier 3.
Unfortunately, two of those players are missing training camp practices because of injury, while left tackle A.J. Jackson is “week to week”, which is the same designation that Sean McVay had for Havenstein and Jonah Jackson.
