It’s not being critical of either Sammy Watkins or the Los Angeles Rams to say both didn’t live up to the expectations of that preseason transaction.
For Rams fans, the acquisition of the Buffalo Bills wide receiver said a few things, primarily that the team was moving from being defensive centric, to wanting to be an offensive juggernaut. It also said Tavon Austin was probably on the clock and not part of the long term plans in a Sean McVay offense.
But come on, after 16 games, we can reasonably say it just didn’t happen.
