In what came as a bit of a surprise late Sunday night, the Los Angeles Rams announced an agreement with Dante Fowler Jr. on a one-year deal, meaning the former first-round pick would be back for the 2019 season.
As soon as Super Bowl 53 came to an end, Fowler was one of the biggest questions surrounding the Rams when it came to free agency since despite the mutual interest from both parties, there was always the fear in another team offering him a better deal, especially if it was long-term.
The fact that Fowler was willing to agree to a deal before the official start of free agency not only shows how much the Florida product loves Los Angeles, but also shows the potential he sees in this team having what it takes to make another run at the Super Bowl.
