Over the past few months, there has been much speculation as to whether or not Los Angeles Rams new Head Coach Sean McVay can (finally) turn WR Tavon Austin into the offensive weapon he was drafted to be. Many, who hope to draw parallels to McVay’s former corps of receivers in Washington, feel there’s a chance Austin can finally become a deep threat receiver, a la WR DeSean Jackson.
McVay will undoubtedly integrate a vertical threat into his offense, but don’t bank on it being Austin. Rather, look for rookie WR Josh Reynolds - a fourth-round 2017 NFL Draft pick out of Texas A&M, to test defenses deep in 2017.
