With the Los Angeles Rams entering the 2017 NFL Draft looking to improve their passing game and offensive line, fullback was the last position anyone could have predicted the team to spend one of their picks on. But believe it or not, the Rams did in fact use a sixth-round pick on former Virginia Tech fullback Sam Rogers, and as crazy as it sounds, fans should be thrilled over the potential surrounding this selection.
Most teams in the NFL don’t even bother using the fullback position these days since they prefer to use that roster spot on a different position, but when looking at his size and strength, Rogers seems like the type of player that could have an immediate impact with boosting the offense.
