Young Core Shines In Victory Over Orlando

Kobe Bryant didn’t suit up for the Lakers’ tilt with Orlando, but he did get a first-row seat for what the organization hopes is a glimpse at the future.

Bryant watched from the end of the bench as D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle each reached 20 points in the same game for the first time, combining for 74 of Los Angeles’ points in its 107-98 win over the Magic.

“I was pretty happy for those three guys, because I though they all played extremely well,” head coach Byron Scott said. “Obviously those are the three guys that we’re really trying to prime to get to the next level and kind of take that challenge every single night.
