Warriors beat Lakers, 111-77, for NBA record 16th consecutive win to open season

The Golden State Warriors became the first team in NBA history to win their first 16 games of the season with a 111-77 blowout of the Lakers on Tuesday night.

The Lakers managed just 11 points in the opening quarter, falling behind by 19 after 12 minutes. While the Lakers did manage to win the second period (27-24), the Warriors' lead was never in danger.

Stephen Curry led all scorers with 24 points, along with nine assists. Draymond Green added 18 points while Klay Thompson scored 11.
