The Lakers have made the final cuts to get their roster down below the NBA maximum of 15 full-time players, and there was one surprise among those waived: Exhibit 10 signees Cam Oliver, Chaundee Brown and Trevelin Queen were all expected cuts, but two-way player Joel Ayayi has been waived as well, according to the team.
Brown, Ayayi and Queen previously played for the Lakers’ 2021 Summer League team, while Oliver saw some sparse NBA game action towards the end of last season with the Houston Rockets.
The first three signed Exhibit 10 deals with the Lakers before training camp, and will likely join the South Bay Lakers in the G-League as a result, following the earlier examples of Mac McClung and Frank Mason III, who were also both recently cut from the roster.
