The Los Angeles Lakers ended the preseason on a high note with a 119-105 win over the Golden State Warriors on Friday at the SAP Center behind 22 points from rookie Svi Mykhailiuk.
Going into Friday night’s contest, Mykhailiuk was shooting a lowly 30 percent from the field and 16.7 percent from the 3-point line. In 31 minutes for the Lakers, Mykhailiuk shot 44.4 percent (8-of-18) from the field and 40 percent (2-of-5) from behind the arc. He also dished out 4 assists.
After looking like a complete steal in at NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League tournament in July, Mykhailiuk fell back to earth in the preseason.
