All season long, some of the NBA's biggest stars waited for Kobe Bryant after games, hoping to grab a memento from the retiring icon in his final season.
Bryant never turned down a peer who asked, spending much of the year signing shoes for his fellow players.
The trend was seemingly tipped off by Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant, who exchanged shoes with Bryant on Dec. 23. About a month later, Golden State's Draymond Green tweeted a photo of his white and purple Nike Kobe sneakers, on which Bryant inscribed "MAKE HISTORY," alluding to the Warriors' quest to win an NBA-record 73 games.
