The Los Angeles Sparks bounced back from their first loss of the season in a big way on Thursday night, beating the team that swept them out of the playoffs a year ago. After falling behind the Connecticut Sun 6-0, the Sparks controlled the tempo for much of the game, winning 81-76. And while the final score was close, and the game was close most of the way through, it took 5 points from the Sun in the waning seconds to keep the win from being double digits.
Candace Parker had a stellar game, adding further proof to claim that her rough 2019 was more about poor health than poor performance.
