More so than most teams outside of the 2016 NBA Playoffs, the Los Angeles Lakers are at the start of a new era—an intersection of the old guard and the future with the retirement of Kobe Bryant. However, one of the biggest questions remaining is what the team plans to do in regards to Byron Scott and the head coaching position.
The general consensus among fans would be that they want Scott to get the axe and be fired sooner rather than later. However, recent reports have indicated that the Lakers and president Jeanie Buss might be more inclined to keeping the former Lakers player in his current position for at least another season.
