With Anthony Davis officially asking for a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans, all of the attention has naturally been on the Los Angeles Lakers since.
In search of a second All-Star player via trade or free agency to play alongside LeBron James, president of basketball operations Magic Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka have an opportunity leading up to the Feb. 7 trade deadline.
Since the Pelicans may ultimately wait until the conclusion of the 2018-19 NBA season, the Lakers reportedly will have to offer at least Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac and a first round draft pick.
