Prior to the 2018-19 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers bought out Luol Deng and officially have $38 million in cap space for 2019 free agency.
Unlike 2018 free agency which only featured LeBron James and Paul George, numerous teams will also be pursuing Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson. In addition, Anthony Davis reportedly may be available via trade depending on how his seventh season ultimately goes.
While there is a lot of time between now and July 1, the 2019 free agency class apparently will re-sign with their current teams or not sign with the Lakers.
