Report: Anthony Davis ‘Stands Atop’ Wish List After Jimmy Butler Trade

Prior to the 2018-19 NBA season, Anthony Davis officially signed with Rich Paul and Klutch Sports Group, which also represents LeBron James.

As Davis has not had much success with the New Orleans Pelicans through six seasons, he faces an uncertain future with the team that originally selected him with the No. 1 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.

With the 25-year-old still having two years remaining on his five-year, $127 million deal, he would have to request a trade.

If Davis ultimately does, the Los Angeles Lakers have him atop their wish list, according to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report:

The New Orleans Pelicans’ Davis stands atop the Lakers’ list, but he won’t hit free agency until 2020.
