With Anthony Davis pouring in 42 points to go along with 12 rebounds, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz 116-108 in their third seeding game. With the win, the Lakers clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
After a disappointing showing against the Toronto Raptors, Davis came out of the gate aggressive, shooting the ball nearly every time down. Rudy Gobert was able to keep him in check as Davis missed his first handful of shots.
He made up for it with a couple of steals that led to easy baskets.
