Although we’re only three games into the Lakers’ season, it already feels like there has been enough shown on the floor to make some educated conclusions about a few aspects of this group.
For one, the team hasn't been very good on defense yet, namely struggling at the point of attack and protecting the rim. While perimeter defense was expected to take a step back with the loss of three solid defenders in Alex Caruso, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Kyle Kuzma, the interior struggles were not something many predicted.
On the other end, the spacing has proven as crammed in the early going — as expected by the club’s naysayers — often creating frustratingly clunky moments in the halfcourt.
