When it was first announced that LeBron James and Anthony Davis would miss significant time due to respective injuries, the “other” Lakers were not given much of a chance to keep the ship afloat.
But 13 games later, two new players added — and with several others flying in out of the injury report — the group has not only kept the ship heading in the right direction, but just capped off their seven-game road trip with a winning record, the latter a feat that at one point seemed unfathomable given the context involved. But with a clutch three by Alex Caruso in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter against the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night, that is exactly what has transpired.
