It’s Monday, which means it’s time to open up the mailbag to answer whichever questions listeners might have about the Los Angeles Lakers. There were almost too many questions to get to, which is a good problem to have, but we made it work nonetheless.
To start the show, a listener wondered whether Magic Johnson, Rob Pelinka and the front office would consider Monty Williams as a means to appease Anthony Davis if Luke Walton didn’t pan out. This isn’t a simple yes or no question. On one hand, yes, Williams is a very good coach and would help in the way the listener thinks, but on the other, it doesn’t look like the Lakers are going to have a vacancy at that position any time soon, given the way the team is currently playing under Luke Walton.
