It’s been a long season for the Lakers. Not only have they been expected to perform at a high level after a short offseason, but they’ve had to do it without their two star forwards, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, for long stretches of the year. They haven’t had it easy.
And yet, with 16 games left in the 2020-21 season, the Lakers are the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference, and have a three-game cushion between them and the No. 7 seed, the latter of which which would trigger a play-in game for them.
