With the 2019-20 NBA season suspended due to the coronavirus, one of the topics being discussed is if the Los Angeles Lakers should retire Pau Gasol‘s jersey.
After the Lakers traded for Gasol during the 2007-08 season, he and Kobe Bryant led them to two championships in three consecutive NBA Finals appearances.
Along with 6.5 seasons in Los Angeles, Gasol’s international resume is extremely impressive and he currently has a 93.6 percent chance of being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame one day when he officially retires.
